HYNDAI AWNT

Hyundai India is all set to launch another global model - Avante - in Indian market. It is a D segment car which is sold as Elantra in other markets, but in India Elantra has been a major flop so Hyundai is expected to launch it as Avante.

Avante offers an excellent choice for drivers who need a compact car with an economic frame of mind in a handsome body with good lines and an eye toward style.

Hyundai's sedan is currently in its fifth generation, and thisElantra (Avante) is the best ever. The impressive exterior styling, with its clean lines and sculpted body sides, borrows design characteristics from the larger and more expensive high end sedans.

It is a more spacious sedan model than its previous incarnation, it can seat up to five passengers and has storage compartments galore.

"The new Hyundai Avante encompasses Hyundai's latest ambitions, featuring the best styling and performance in its class," Steve S. Yang, President & CEO of Hyundai's Global Business Division, said at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) today. "We're confident that it will once again redefine the compact segment worldwide."

With sportier and even more elegant lines than its predecessor, the new Hyundai Avante - badged as Elantra in markets outside Korea - continues Hyundai's 'fluidic sculpture' design philosophy.

Hyundai has applied its latest 1.6L Gamma Gasoline Direct Injection engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission to the front-wheel drive compact, the first time GDI and six-speed automatic have been featured on a compact sedan in Korea. The new Avante delivers a peak output of 140ps and maximum torque of 17.0kg•m. It is also about 10 percent more fuel efficient than its closest competitors, thanks to GDI, the six speed automatic and other fuel economy enhancements.

The new Hyundai Avante will delight and surprise with a raft of other advanced features not found on other compacts, including HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlamps, LED combination lamps in the rear, heated rear seats, puddle lamps and a color TFT LCD information display nestled in the gauge cluster.

Under the Avante/Elantra badge, Hyundai has sold over 6 million units worldwide since the car's launch in 1990. Hyundai will begin sales of the all-new Hyundai Avante in the second half of 2010 in Korea.

At a separate commercial vehicle booth, Hyundai displayed a hydrogen fuel-cell electric bus and a Universe Limousine luxury coach, among other displays

Hyundai Motor Co. had its world-premier of the all-new Hyundai Avante compact sedan, the company's best-selling model worldwide, at the 2010 Busan International Motor Show.

Hyundai Avante/Elantra 2011 Design

The base for the design of Hyundai Avante and Verna has been derived from the Hyundai Sonata YF and features a completely new design. With no surprise the Fluidic Sculpture Design which was earlier seen in Hyundai i-Flow is really doing wonders for such upcoming models. Adding to the beauty of the car are the HID Xenon Headlamps and LED Tail lamps.

Taking a look at the front of the car from a distance, leaves the viewer with an inexpressible appeal because of those “Brutal Eyes” sort of headlamps. The front grille protrudes outwards, unlike most of the recently launched cars, making the face look a bit pointed.

Alloys as seen in the image above are also new and attractive to look at.From the back the tail lamps yet again bring an entirely different look and summarizing it we can say, the car has been styled to meet the evolving appearance wishes of the customers.
