Honda is back in the 150cc segment with the launch of their Unicorn upgrade, called Unicorn Sports

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd. has upgraded its 150cc Unicorn Bike to CB Unicorn. After the launch of the bike back in the year 2005, this is the 3rd iteration of the bike till now. No wonder, Honda is following in the footsteps of Hero Honda in marketing of its products in India.

The CB Unicorn Motorcycle has been upgraded to meet the stringent BS 4 Emission Norms, while the engine remains the same with 13.3bhp. Its competitors like Bajaj Pulsar 150 (14.1 bhp), Yamaha R15 (17bhp), Suzuki GS 150R (13.8bhp) and the TVS Apache RTR 160 (15.2) are racing ahead with much more power.

The CB Unicorn now gets the Honda’s viscous air filter and maintenance free batteries which, according to Honda, will help in reducing the cost of ownership. On the visual side, Honda has removed all the graphics from the body and has put up a CB Unicorn Sticker on the side rear cowl of the bike. The Unicorn is now also available in a new color – ‘Pearl Sienna Red‘ apart from the Metallic Black and Silver. It is priced at INR 67,008 on-road Pune.

Intel has adopted a base clock speed of 133.33MHz that is used to drive the CPU speed, memory speed, QPI and the bizarrely named Uncore. Each processor core has its own multiplier, so the speed of the cores can be adjusted independently of each other, just like Phenom, which may sound intriguing to the overclockers among you but that’s only part of the story.

Intel’s Turbo Mode technology adjusts the speed of the cores in the new processor dynamically and can raise the speed of a core by up to three multiples of the base clock, ie. 400MHz. Turbo Mode assists both performance and power saving as there are times when you're better off with two fast cores rather than four slower ones. The processor speed and power draw can adapt to the workload while monitoring the temperature of the cores to avoid overheating.
